Karen Hamilton

Karen manages the Civic Federation's day-to-day business operations, accounting and finance, budgeting and forecasting, human resources, administration, facilities, and IT. Previously, Karen served as the finance manager for Children First Fund: The Chicago Public Schools Foundation (CFF) where she worked directly with schools and other CPS partners to manage financial activities and operations for CFF. Prior to her work at CFF, Karen served as the Payroll Administrator for the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District. 

Karen also previously worked at The Chicago Bar Foundation as the Director of Finance & Operations where she managed the day-to-day finances and office operations.

Karen holds a BA in Sociology from Winston Salem State University and an MA in Sociology from Roosevelt University.
